About Infocrash

Infocrash is a research tool for collecting structured data about companies, products, programs, or any other kind of thing you research. You use it through your AI assistants: they connect to it over MCP, the standard way assistants connect to outside tools, and what they find is kept in one place, with the evidence behind every figure checked against its source.

Why use it

Answers from a single assistant are hard to rely on. Ask again next week, or ask a different assistant, and you may get a different answer, with nothing to tell you which one to believe.

You research by talking to your assistant, as usual. As you go, it saves what it finds into a collection: a table with one row per thing you are researching and one column per fact about it, each value with the sources it used. Those sources are checked against the pages they cite. You review the result later, with the checking already done.

Connect more than one assistant and they work on the same collection. Each searches differently and reaches different sources, so one often finds what another missed, and where they disagree you can see it and settle it.

Infocrash also replaces the one-shot report, where you write straight from an assistant's answer and can't say later where a number came from. Instead you:

  1. Gather the evidence first.
  2. Let several assistants work on the same collection.
  3. Write from data that holds up, not from a single answer.

What you get

You end up with a collection that stays after the conversation ends. Every value in it shows:

  • the sources it came from
  • which assistant recorded it
  • the date it refers to

When two assistants find different answers, you see both side by side, each with its own sources. You can settle it with rules you set in advance, or by hand. Nothing is overwritten or lost.
